Call for Papers:The First “Belt and Road” Initiative and Global Governance Forum

2018 is a crucial year for China in forming a new pattern of all-round opening up and entering a new stage of development. The purpose of this forum is to serve the "Belt and Road" Initiative, deepen the study on the "Belt and Road" Initiative from the perspective of international relations, and explore ways to build new globalization system and promote economic cultural exchanges and cooperation among countries participating in the “Belt and Road” initiative.

The forum is jointly hosted by College of International Relations of Huaqiao University and Central China Economic Region Research Institute, also be co-organized by The Charhar Institute and The Dali Fumen Cultural and Creative Base of College of Humanities of Huaqiao University.

We sincerely invite domestic and foreign experts and scholars to participate in this forum, to discuss China's relations with neighboring countries under the new situation and to make contributions to deepening cooperation among B&R countries.

The notifications regarding relevant issues are as follows:

1.      Theme and topics

l  Theme: B&R Countries in the New Era: The Construction of the Community of Common Destiny

l  Topics:

1)        Current achievements and problems of the "Belt and Road" Initiative

2)        The current situation and Prospect of Sino EU economic and cultural cooperation

3)        The risk analysis of terrorism and the development of the “Belt and Road" Initiative

4)        The relationships between "Belt and Road" and" Lancang River and Mekong River Cooperation"

2.      Date and location

l  April 20, 2018-April 21, 2018

l  Zhengzhou, China

3.      Working languages

The working languages of the forum are English and Chinese.

l  Advocating the use of English for paper writing.

l  A 10 to 15 minutes presentation in Chinese or English.

l  PPT in English.

4.      Conference Fees

All the expenses including transportation, food and accommodation will be borne by the sponsor.

5.      Paper submission and registration

l  Please submit the title and abstract(200-300words) of your paper before February 28, 2018.

l  Required information: author's name, sex, work unit, professional ranks and titles, language of paper, postal address, postcode, phone number, e-mail

l  The invitation letter will be sent our after the confirmation of the list of participants.

l  Excellent papers will have the opportunity to get recommended and published;The sponsors will offer subsidies published papers for the scholars. Excellent scholars will have the opportunity to be recommended to participate in the "The Belt and Road Young Visiting Scholar Program" of Huaqiao University.
